On the occasion of the celebration of the Chinese New Year which opened this year under the sign of the Water Rabbit, a Gala Evening was organized on January 24th at the Hotel Hermitage Monte-Carlo by Monaco Dragon Prestige and Association Monaco-Chine, supported by the Embassy of Monaco in China. This evening, which aimed to promote the Principality, welcomed many Chinese guests from the world of tourism and business, from various European countries. They were welcomed in front of the Hotel Hermitage by a magnificent and traditional Dragon Dance, then in the Salle Belle Epoque by the Ladies Champagne and by rabbits drawn live by the artist FABEN. Mrs. Xiaoqin Wang, Founder of Monaco Dragon Prestige, opened the evening by introducing Her Excellency Mrs. Marie-Pascale Boisson, Ambassador of Monaco to China. Madam Ambassador, after welcoming the guests, recalled the ties that unite the Principality to China and the words of President Xi Jinping during his historic visit in 2019: "despite the difference in size (between Monaco and China), the spirit of dialogue allows the success of our relationship". Other guests of honor, Mrs Marie-Catherine Caruso-Ravera, Director of Diplomatic and Consular Relations, representing Mrs Isabelle Berro-Amadeï, Minister for External Relations and Cooperation, Mr Guy Antognelli, Director of the Department of Tourism and Congress and Mr. Pascal Camia, Chief Operating Officer of Monte-Carlo SBM. Mr. Giorgio Motta, General Manager of The Mall Luxury Outlets, one of the event partners, presented the luxury shopping center which opened its second establishment in San Remo since 2019. The sixty guests were able to taste the menu specially concocted for the occasion by Chef Philippe Joannès, accompanied by the traditional Gujing Gongjiu rice alcohol. The guests were also able to enjoy the show to the rhythm of popular Chinese, French and Italian songs interspersed with remarkable cabaret dances, as well as a fashion show from AMC Haute Couture Monaco before the DJ took over to make the audience dance. A wonderful evening that ended gently and where all the guests were able to leave with many prestigious gifts. See you next year to celebrate the Year of the Wood Dragon!
